About East Of These
The journey begins in the East
The expulsion of darkness, the movement towards the full brightness of day and ultimately the journey headed in the right direction often begins in the “East.” Just as the sun rises in the east, we believe that there is much groundwork to be done in bringing true light to those who are in need throughout the world. Along with this common biblical theme of our journey to God’s goodness from our current state, our attention is not only turned to those who are in need: the hungry, thirsty, sick, impoverished, and imprisoned, the “least of these,” but also to ourselves. We are all in need of true unfailing love and are made to extend that love to others.
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. “
